Squamous Cell Carcinoma Arising at a Skin Graft Donor Site: Case Report and Review of the Literature

Introduction: Skin graft reconstruction is a common method of providing wound coverage. Rarely, skin grafting can be associated with the development squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) in donor site. Case Report: The patient 72-year old male 15-year history bilateral hip wounds. He underwent multitude treatments previously failed reconstructive efforts. After presenting to us, he multiple debridements and eventual grafting. Within 4 weeks final graft, mass developed at site right thigh. Excisional biopsy returned well differentiated keratinizing SCC. Discussion/Conclusion: This case demonstrates acute presentation SCC following without known risk factors. purpose this unique report highlight very rare occurrence
